Congressman Meuser to Host Telephone Town Hall on Financial Fraud and Scams

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09), Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, will host a Telephone Town Hall tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2nd, at 5:30 PM, to help protect Pennsylvanians from the growing threat of financial fraud and scams.

“Scammers are becoming more deceptive and persistent in their attempts to target the American people,” said Congressman Meuser. “As Chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, I’m working with state officials, law enforcement, and the private sector to combat them. Tomorrow’s telephone town hall will equip residents with practical tools to identify, prevent, and report fraudulent activity. I encourage my constituents to join the call to learn how to spot scams, protect their personal information, and take action if they have fallen victim to a financial fraud and scams.” 

Congressman Meuser will be joined by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday and Troy Peters, President & CEO of Jonestown Bank and Trust, to provide expert insight on how families, seniors, small businesses, veterans, young people, and local governments can safeguard themselves against increasingly sophisticated fraud schemes.

  • How To Verify Suspicious Messages and Report Them
