This legislation will increase the capital available to small businesses, especially those in rural and underserved communities, manufacturing, or the critical technology sector, through Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs). SBICs raise private capital, which is then matched with leverage by the SBA, allowing them to invest directly in small businesses.
