Meuser to Host Economic Development Forum with SBA, HUD, and USDA June 18
POTTSVILLE, Pa.— Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) will host an Economic Development Forum for business owners and local government leaders on June 18, 2019. The event will be held at Penn State Schuylkill's John Morgan Auditorium, 200 University Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Congressman Meuser will moderate a panel discussion on available federal funding and programs that could be used to revitalize communities and bring business investment to Pennsylvania's Ninth Congressional District. The panel will include Small Business Administration Regional Administrator, Michelle Christian, U.S. Housing and Urban Development Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator, Joseph DeFelice, and U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development State Director, Curt Coccodrilli. An expo led by staff from those agencies will be held in the lobby of the auditorium for further one-on-one discussion regarding available programs.
"One of my top initiatives is to foster growth and revitalization within the Ninth Congressional District," said Congressman Meuser. "We are bringing the local leaders of these federal agencies directly to our constituents to find solutions to issues and spark ideas for economic development. Opportunities and programs exist that could be more effectively leveraged here, if only more people knew about them."
The event is free to attend, but an RSVP is required. Please call the Pottsville Office at (570) 871-6370 to register in advance.
