MEUSER STATEMENT ON INTRODUCTION OF GOVERNMENT FUNDING BILL
POTTSVILLE, Pa. – Today, Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) released the following statement on the introduction of a continuing resolution (CR) introduced by House Democrats to keep the federal government funded through December 11th, 2020:
"House Democrats' government funding bill excludes the replenishment of the Commodity Credit Corporation, an important federal lending facility that our nation's farmers rely on. Agriculture is among the largest industries in Pennsylvania's 9th District, providing thousands of family-sustaining jobs. In the midst of a crisis, Democrats are punishing farmers and rural America in pursuit of a political win. Once again, they are more interested in the problem than finding a solution. Republicans will always stand with our farmers and will fight for the federal support they have earned."
