Rep. Meuser Speaks on House Floor Regarding the SAVE Act

While the Constitution says only U.S. citizens can vote, the SAVE Act prohibits bad actors from registering non-citizens to vote and requires states to purge their voter rolls of all illegal immigrants. Any no votes on this bill as it comes before the House tonight implies to the American people why the Biden-Harris Administration left the border open in the first place…. for potentially more votes. The American people want this bill to pass, and it will help restore their confidence in our elections. I urge my colleagues to do the right thing, on a bipartisan basis, and ensure that only U.S. citizens can register for and vote in federal elections. We must pass the Save Act.
