CONGRESSMAN DAN MEUSER (PA-9) ON THE 2020 VOTE COUNTING PROCESS

November 6, 2020
Editorial
The integrity of elections should be of the utmost importance to every American. I am deeply concerned that Republican observers in Philadelphia are being kept far away from ballot processing, in direct violation of a ruling from the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. To ensure the legitimacy of this election, we need complete transparency, not secrecy.
It is also imperative that state election officials segregate any ballots arriving after 8:00PM on Election Day, in case the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the legitimacy of late-received mail-in ballots. Pennsylvanians deserve to have confidence that every legal vote is counted, regardless of how long that takes.
