Meuser Joins President Donald J. Trump in Pittsburgh to Promote Domestic Energy Production
WASHINGTON — Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) joined President Donald J. Trump on Wednesday in Pittsburgh, Pa. for the ninth annual SHALE INSIGHT Conference to highlight the importance of domestic energy production for America’s continued economic growth, environmental progress, and national security.
“I enjoyed accompanying President Trump and fellow Members of Congress from Pennsylvania to promote domestic energy production. Attendees included U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, U.S. Secretary of Interior David Bernhardt, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler, and Congressmen GT Thompson, Mike Kelly, Lloyd Smucker, John Joyce, Guy Reschenthaler, and Fred Keller,” said Meuser. “More than 140,000 new jobs have been added in Pennsylvania since the President took office, leading to record low unemployment. As one of the cleanest-burning energy sources globally, natural gas supports hundreds of thousands of jobs and increased wages across the country. Due to the state’s rich energy sources and abundance of natural gas, Pennsylvania can become the new Texas. Thanks to the President’s leadership, and thousands of hardworking Pennsylvanians, the United States has become the world’s leading oil and natural gas producer.”
