Congressman Dan Meuser introduced a three-bill legislative package intended to bring fiscal responsibility back to the federal government.

Meuser’s “Stop Inflationary Spending Act,” “The Budgetary Accuracy in Scoring Interest Cost (BASIC) Act” and “The Require Employees to Uniformly Return Now (RETURN) Act” are all aimed at increasing transparency, accountability, and bringing spending under control in Washington.

Today, Congressman Dan Meuser (R-Dallas) was selected by his colleagues to serve on the House Financial Services Committee.

       I have many concerns about the Biden administration’s management, policy initiatives and leadership, including their approach to the economy and working with the Federal Reserve (Fed). Biden Democrats' combination of spending since early 2021 and their assault on American energy production ignited inflation. Since the spending and high gasoline, diesel, and home heating costs continue to be inflated, farming, building, manufacturing, and shipping costs have greatly increased.

Congressman Dan Meuser conducted a walking tour of numerous small businesses on West Front Street in Berwick on Tuesday, highlighting established businesses in the community, discussing the challenges they are facing, as well as getting a preview of some projects that are part of its future.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09), today announced a federal grant award to Pottsville roads and culvert repairs made by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This $1,066,608.62 federal investment will enable needed repairs and alleviate what has become a major safety issue since historic flooding from Norwegian Creek severely damaged Progress Avenue in 2018.

WASHINGTON – The Office of Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) today announced that the office would be returning to the United States Treasury $159,962 of its allocated $1,353,606 annual budget, representing a savings of 11.8%.
