Ed Case (D-HI), Jared Golden (D-ME), and Tom McClintock (R-CA) passed in the House Budget Committee. H.R. 8341 is a bipartisan piece of legislation that would help lawmakers address America’s enormous national debt and the associated interest costs in the legislative process.

The first-place winner’s artwork will hang in the United States Capitol for one year, along with other winners from across the country. The students who placed second and third will have their artwork displayed in Congressman Meuser’s District offices.

There have been more than 24,000 police officers killed in the line of duty in the United States since the first recorded police death in 1786, according to Lebanon County Sheriff Jeffrie Marley.

"When an officer dies in the line of duty, the impact is felt widespread in the community," Marley said.

The post office at 101 S. 8th St., Lebanon, has been renamed the Lieutenant William D. Lebo Post Office Building in honor of a Lebanon city police officer who lost his life in the line of duty.

Lt. Lebo, a 40-year veteran of the city police force, was killed on March 31, 2022, while responding to a domestic-related burglary incident. He was just 30 days from retirement at the time of his death.

Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) introduced House Resolution 3865 to authorize the renaming. President Joe Biden signed the bill into law on Monday.

The Lebanon City Post Office will soon bear the name of fallen police Lt. William Lebo after a resolution honoring his sacrifice was signed by President Joe Biden.

On May 7, Biden signed House Resolution 3865, which would rename the 101 South 8th St. post office as the "Lieutenant William D. Lebo Post Office Building.”

Lebo was shot and killed in the line of duty March 31, 2022.

U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, who introduced the bill, said Lt. Lebo's four decades of service stand as a testament to his profound commitment to the city of Lebanon.
