Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations: Rep. Dan Meuser (R-Pa.)

U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Dallas, this week released the following statement after being named Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the Financial Services Committee for the 119th Congress: “Under the leadership of Chairman French Hill, we will work to advance the goals of the Financial Services Committee, the Republican Conference and President Trump…” 

While at the school in Hazleton, Meuser put the students on the phone with President-Elect Trump. 

Students at Immanuel Christian School in Hazleton talked on the phone on Friday with President-Elect Donald Trump. U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, R-9, made the call while touring the school, which he helped find funds to reopen this week.

The President-elect decided to talk to local students at Immanuel Christian School after Rep. Meuser secured funds to keep the school open.

Another Pennsylvania Republican, Rep. Dan Meuser, said he expected Trump is going to do a “close analysis and a close review of the deal, the potential deal, and make it better.”

Meuser worked with the Internal Revenue Service to quickly release Employee Retention Tax Credits that were crucial in keeping the school open, talked with Mike Jarrell, the school’s executive director, on Christmas Eve and confirmed final release of the tax credits this week, his office said in a statement.

According to Mike Jarrell, the school's executive director, the institution will reopen on Tuesday, January 7, and will remain open for the rest of the school year thanks to COVID relief funds secured by Congressman Dan Meuser.
