The Biden Administration’s failed border policies have created a deadly crisis. We have migrant crime, drugs poisoning our youth, human trafficking, and now, squatting. At the federal level, my SHIELD Act will require that an illegal immigrant convicted of trespassing be deported from the United States and deem them permanently inadmissible for reentry. This legislation will serve as a strong deterrent for any illegal immigrant considering unlawfully possessing an American’s home.
When you peel back the onion on the Biden Administration, all you want to do is cry. Nothing is being done from a tax, regulatory, or fiscal responsibility standpoint that is helping drive or strengthen our economy. This Administration’s policies have been devastating to American small businesses.
President Biden has attempted to tout strong job performance numbers, but we know the data is inflated by immigration. Coming out of COVID, there were many jobs to be filled, and as it turns out, a new report indicates that it’s likely 1.7 million of 2.7 million new jobs under Biden were filled by illegal immigrants. If you want a real example of strong job growth, look at the Trump Administration, which created 7 million new jobs from 2017 through 2019.
While we would like to trust our President, the White House has released very little information about Biden’s call with President Xi. The American people deserve to know if President Biden truly stood up for American interests on the call or if he continued his policy of appeasement. The United States must always deal from a position of strength, and we do that by being the most competitive economy in the world. Yet President Biden regularly proposes tax increases and burdensome rules and regulations, which impede our ability to compete with China.

Combatting crime and ensuring public safety must be the top priority for law enforcement and elected officials. Yet the Biden Administration's ideological liberal social experiment has failed miserably, both at the border and in our cities. President Biden’s policies are harming our country, and the American people deserve an immediate course correction.

There is a clear cause and effect between the Biden Administration’s excessive spending and rising inflation. And rather than correct course, the President’s FY25 budget doubles down on policy failures by proposing $1 trillion in additional spending and new taxes on hardworking Americans. All this Administration wants to do is grow the government and shrink the economy, which weakens our national security and fiscal stability.
Last week, President Biden claimed the State of our Union is strong – but the American people disagree. From soaring inflation to national debt, a catastrophe at our southern border, an assault on American energy, rising crime, and geopolitical chaos, the State of our Union is sadly not strong and has been in decline for 3 years, 1 month, and 22 days.
