Tonight’s State of the Union will be hard to listen to – President Biden will gaslight the American people, lying about his record and blaming Republicans and businesses for his blatant failures. Inflation has risen 18% since President Biden took office, largely caused by his Administration’s excessive spending. My constituents still have sticker shock every time they check out at the grocery store or fill up their gas tanks. We need pro-growth initiatives to get our country back on track, not the tax and spend agenda that the President will lay out tonight.

There are real concerns throughout our cities and communities about the violence in our streets. There has clearly been a failed social experiment on the part of the left that has resulted in high levels of crime. Democrats have defunded and discredited police forces across the country, as well as appointed and elected liberal prosecutors who aren’t prosecuting. We must correct course, and the American people deserve a president who will make national security and public safety job one

On day one, this President reversed many successful border policies implemented by the Trump Administration that kept our nation safe. Joe Biden ended Remain in Mexico, halted border wall construction, loosened asylum requirements, and issued a moratorium on deportations – essentially telling the world our border was and is wide open. And since that time, there have been more than 8.5 million illegal border crossings, as well as an estimated 1.7 million got-aways. So why did President Biden take these actions – ideological idiocy.

Hunter and Jim Biden made millions of dollars from domestic and foreign entities while perpetrating an influence-peddling scheme. The facts show they then used companies they owned as pass-throughs to funnel money to Joe Biden. The Oversight and Judiciary Committees have exposed $240K in checks to Joe Biden that claim to be “loan repayments” from Jim. However, the IRS mandates that any loan between family members be made with a signed written agreement, a fixed repayment schedule, and a minimum interest rate charged.

The Biden Administration has created a disaster at our southern border by failing to enforce immigration laws, crushed the natural gas industry through its continued assault on American energy, and stifled the U.S. economy through excessive spending. From Joe Biden’s self-induced crisis at our southern border to the repeated assault on American energy, to foreign policy blunders, this Administration’s policies have been a disaster for our country. It seems every decision coming from this White House from a national security standpoint and an economic standpoint makes the United States weaker and more vulnerable, both at home and abroad.
