Rep. Dan Meuser (R-Pa.), who was at the rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday in which former President Trump faced an assassination attempt, said Tuesday that Republican National Convention speakers should “tone it down” following the events at the rally.

Rep. Dan Meuser (R-Pa.) wants speakers at the Republican National Convention to “make a conscious effort to cool it down” — the latest in a series of calls from lawmakers to temper political rhetoric following the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.

"First two, perhaps even three, David McCormick and I was standing next to each other. And Mike Kelly as well, we were stunned, looked around," said Congressman Dan Meuser, whose 9th District includes parts of Berks and all of Schuylkill County.
