As I said to CNN, it feels like we're already working with President Trump's White House because President Biden has been completely missing in action. While Biden sits on the sidelines during critical government funding negotiations, President Trump is setting the tone for transformational leadership, a month before even taking office.
President Trump was elected by the people, and his America First Agenda was on the ballot. The President's plan for government funding is what we should be backing. We should be looking to enhance it, support it, and offer ideas to improve it, but not add to it or change it. Any deal to keep the government open should address the debt ceiling as the incoming president requests.
