Just wrapped up an interview on CNN, where I set the record straight: There were no cuts to Medicare or Medicaid in the budget resolution—only fraud, waste, abuse, and ineligibility will be addressed to strengthen these programs for those who truly need them. Last year, there were $101 billion in improper payments to Medicaid and Medicare – even if we addressed just 70% of this waste, we can cover the entirety of what the Energy and Commerce Committee has been tasked to save.

The 160 million Americans who don’t work for the federal government are shaking their heads at the outrage over DOGE simply asking bureaucrats to account for their work. With $2 trillion in overspending a year and $236 billion in improper payments, President Donald Trump is rooting out the waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government. 

Just wrapped up an interview with ABC News Live, where I laid out the facts: The Biden administration grew government spending to an unsustainable level—now President Trump and DOGE are taking action to restore accountability. Cutting waste, reducing inefficiencies, and focusing on economic growth will benefit hardworking Americans. Lower taxes, more private-sector jobs, and less government bureaucracy—that’s how we rebuild American prosperity.

The American people would rather have DOGE dividends in their pockets than see billions wasted on ideological foreign initiatives. By rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government, DOGE has already saved taxpayers over $55 billion—delivering real results and reinforcing President Donald Trump’s America-First agenda.

I joined Fox Business this morning to discuss President Trump's plan to make America energy dominant again, DOGE's efforts to make the government more efficient, and our work in Congress to advance a pro-growth, pro-security budget. We also covered Governor Shapiro’s lawsuit, which is nothing more than a political stunt. If the governor actually wanted to fix the problem, he’d work with the Trump Administration to ensure funds are spent properly—instead, he’s running to the courts to get headlines.

President Donald Trump is taking action to protect the American steel industry by closing loopholes that allow other countries to bypass U.S. tariffs through Mexico and Canada. This move will strengthen domestic production and encourage critical investment in U.S. Steel. 

President Trump and DOGE are also making real progress in draining the swamp—exposing waste, abuse, and fraud in government. The American people deserve accountability, and we’re committed to delivering results.

The Protecting Energy Production Act ensures that no President can unilaterally ban fracking—safeguarding one of America’s most vital energy resources from being shut down by ideological policies. The whole world is fracking, but we do it best and we do it cleanest in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States. Tonight, I urged my colleagues to vote for clean energy and for American economic and national security strength by supporting this legislation when it comes to the House Floor tomorrow.
