POTTSVILLE, Pa. –Today, Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded $319,609 to Bloomsburg University and $348,007 to Kutztown University through the Student Support Services Grant program (SSS). They were among 23 other higher education institutions in Pennsylvania that received nearly $8 million to help students succeed in pursuing a college degree:

Head Start programs promote school readiness of children ages birth to five from low-income families by supporting the development of the whole child. Pleasant Fire Company in Bernville through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program. The grant will also benefit two other fire departments serving Berks County residents.
