In Pennsylvania, we take pride in institutions like UPenn, but recent events have caused us to take a closer look at its leadership. Professor Julia Alekseyeva’s mocking and celebrating the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson warrants her termination. Given this incident, last year’s antisemitic protests on campus, and the university accepting anonymous Chinese donations for the Penn Biden Center, UPenn must be held accountable.
From overpayments to absentee employees and underperforming agencies, there’s plenty of “low-hanging fruit” for DOGE to address. Taxpayer dollars must fund programs that deliver results, not ones that consistently fall short. We’re committed to reforms that trim excess, increase transparency, and build a smarter government that works for all Americans.
The federal government is becoming less of a democracy and more of a bloated bureaucracy these days, yet Democrats want to stand in the way of us cutting waste, fraud, abuse, and inefficiencies. But with a Republican Majority in Congress, President Trump back in the White House, and Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy spearheading DOGE, we’re going to deliver a reckoning for limited government in the new year.
Today, I spoke strongly in support of the Prove It Act on the House floor. This critical legislation requires federal agencies to assess the true cost of their regulations, including the direct and indirect burdens they impose on small businesses. It empowers small businesses to challenge unfair rules, promotes greater transparency, and helps limit the size of government. Small businesses should be able to focus on expanding operations, hiring workers, and serving their communities—not navigating endless bureaucracy.
Later today, my colleagues and I will hear from Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy on Capitol Hill as they share their plans for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). I’m pleased to be part of the new House DOGE Caucus, where we’ll work side-by-side with the department to reduce wasteful government spending. Together, we’ll identify reasonable reductions to rein in spending, lower inflation, and get the economy working for the American people.
Check out my interview on The Rich Zeoli Show on 1210WPHT! We covered President Biden’s egregious decision to pardon his son, Hunter, and how it erodes Americans’ trust in the Justice System. I also shared why I joined the House DOGE Caucus to help tackle wasteful government spending, and we previewed Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s upcoming visit to Congress this week.
With 20 years of prosecutorial experience, including eight as Florida’s Attorney General, Pam Bondi knows what it takes to keep our communities safe. She’s been a tireless advocate addressing substance abuse issues, she’s fought fraud and corruption, and she’s always worked to make the government more efficient and accountable. Pam Bondi is smart, experienced, and will make a great Attorney General.
Ryan Corbett, who grew up in Susquehanna County, has been held by the Taliban for 832 days. The Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act will ensure Ryan, and other Americans, can return home without the added burden of financial fallout from the IRS, allowing them to focus on rebuilding their lives. I spoke on the House Floor today urging my colleagues to support this commonsense legislation.
I had a great conversation with Rich Zeoli on Fox Across America today, discussing the issues facing our nation and the path forward under unified Republican leadership. We talked about tackling border security, combating inflation, and restoring economic prosperity with President-Elect Trump's America First agenda. From reducing excessive spending to unleashing American energy and saving the Trump Tax Cuts, the House GOP is focused on delivering results for hardworking Americans.
President-elect Trump’s America-First agenda lays the foundation: revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, increasing production, and growing our taxpayer base—not our tax burden. These are the policies small businesses across America are counting on, with permanent tax cuts, reduced regulation, and lower energy costs under the next administration. After three terms in Congress, I’ve seen how bureaucratic red tape can restrict access to capital, limit resources, and slow business growth.
