Today, I proudly spoke in support of H.R. 4790, which passed the House this evening. The legislation defends American businesses from foreign regulatory overreach and ensures investors’ freedom to choose what to do with their own wealth. My bill, the Protecting U.S. Business Sovereignty Act, was included to help protect U.S. investors from European overreach.

While the Constitution says only U.S. citizens can vote, the SAVE Act prohibits bad actors from registering non-citizens to vote and requires states to purge their voter rolls of all illegal immigrants. Any no votes on this bill as it comes before the House tonight implies to the American people why the Biden-Harris Administration left the border open in the first place…. for potentially more votes. The American people want this bill to pass, and it will help restore their confidence in our elections.

The Department of Homeland Security must provide Secret Service with the resources necessary to keep President Trump safe. Regardless of the protocol, the agency must base its protective detail on the threat level against President Trump, rather than on his status as a former President. After Butler, there has been a lot of talk and no action. Now, following this second attempt on President Trump’s life, they must take steps to keep the former President safe and preserve our democratic process.

Since the assassination attempt in Butler, House Republicans have pressed the FBI and Homeland Security, demanding increased security measures for President Trump. The rally's failures—from lack of resources to poor communication and planning—left him extremely vulnerable. Meanwhile, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Secretary Mayorkas have been all talk, no action. Little has been done to improve President Trump’s safety, even in high-risk situations. This is not just about President Trump—it’s about the integrity of our democracy and electoral process.

The media consistently downplays critical issues, from policy failures to assassination attempts on President Trump. The security failures at the Butler rally were undeniable, yet accountability has been almost nonexistent. Five Secret Service agents were placed on administrative leave, but no significant action has followed. This administration's lax approach to serious threats is alarming. If real efforts were made to enhance protection and deterrence, we’d see far fewer threats against President Trump. Leadership requires decisive action, not just talk.

The Biden-Harris administration is directly responsible for skyrocketing inflation, driven by reckless spending, an attack on American energy, and policies that pushed interest rates higher. Kamala Harris’s so-called "economic plan" is nothing more than a scheme to expand government control, enforce damaging price regulations, and distract from their failures by pointing fingers at gas stations and grocery stores.

Kamala Harris’ attempted flip-flop on her anti-energy views is leading Pennsylvanians to ask… was she fracking lying then or is she fracking lying now? The Biden-Harris Administration has had an all-out assault on domestic energy, including on natural gas in Pennsylvania. From blocking pipelines to increased energy taxes, crippling regulations, and banning LNG exports, this Administration’s energy policies have been detrimental to the Commonwealth and our country.
