“President Trump promised to commute and pardon J6ers. He did it. Joe Biden promised not to pardon his family or his son or some other murderers that were on death row, and he did it. That's a big difference between the credibility and character of the two presidents.”

President Trump declared January 20, 2025, “Liberation Day,” a powerful reminder of the difference between his leadership and the failed Biden Administration. While Biden saw government as being in charge, President Trump knows it’s we the people who hold the power. His administration is already delivering results—restoring border security, promoting energy dominance, and building a government that serves Americans with transparency and common sense. This is what real leadership looks like. 

Today marks a historic moment for our nation as we inaugurate President Donald J. Trump and usher in a renewed commitment to the America First Agenda. This morning on Fox News, I emphasized the importance of Republican unity to deliver on President Trump’s clear mandate from the American people. Together, we will secure our borders, strengthen national security, unleash American energy, and champion pro-growth policies that benefit families, small businesses, and our entire economy. The time to act is now.

President Biden’s decision to block the $14.9 billion U.S. Steel-Nippon Steel deal is a massive blow to Pennsylvania steelworkers and our nation’s future in steel production. This merger would have secured thousands of jobs and created thousands more, brought cutting-edge technology, and positioned U.S. Steel as a global leader—all without outsourcing jobs. Instead, Biden is ignoring the will of workers, catering to union bosses and confusing allies like Japan with adversaries like China. Generational steelworkers in Pennsylvania and the American people deserve better.

Today, I look forward to casting my vote for Speaker Mike Johnson. Mike is a dedicated, capable leader who will be an important partner in advancing the America First Agenda. With President Trump leading the White House, Republican leadership in the Senate, and Mike Johnson as Speaker, we are positioned to deliver on the priorities the American people voted for: restoring strength at home and abroad, growing our economy, reducing wasteful spending, promoting energy dominance, and securing our borders.
