POTTSVILLE — U.S. Rep Dan Meuser (R-9) joined local lawmakers and other officials at The Farm Store on Tuesday, touting the Big Beautiful Bill and the benefits they say it will have on working families.

U.S. Representative Dan Meuser (PA-09), Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, issued a statement this week in strong support of former President Donald J. Trump’s newly signed executive order, which seeks to prevent financial institutions from denying services based on political or ideological considerations.

Congressman Dan Meuser recently joined State Representative Jonathan Fritz, state legislators and industry leaders for a series of facility tours and a roundtable discussion focused on positioning PA as a national leader in the domestic production of critical minerals like lithium and rare earth elements.

The day began with site visits to two pioneering lithium extraction facilities utilizing produced water from the Marcellus Shale.

A host of Pa. republicans have begun organizing public discussions and holding roundtables with business and education leaders solely focused on what comes next in the state’s energy industry.

“Pennsylvania’s banking sector reflects the strength and diversity of our national financial system — from rural community banks to regional institutions,” said Meuser, who represents Pennsylvania’s District 9. “We need supervision that encourages innovation, supports local economies, and protects consumers — without driving small banks out of the market.”
